The Duke Board of Education may discuss, make motions, and vote upon any matter appearing on this agenda.  Such motions may be to adopt, reject, table, reaffirm, rescind, or take action on any agenda matter.

  1. Call to order and recording of members present and absent.
  2. Invocation.
  3. Consent agenda:
    1. Minutes for the June 30, 2010 regular meeting.
    2. Activity Fund expenditures and reports.
    3. Treasurer’s report.
    4. Donation from Duke School Foundation.
  4. Vote to approve or disapprove the purchase orders, encumbrances, and warrants for the following funds: General Fund – 1-14, 17-21, 23-27. Gift Fund
  5. Superintendent’s report. Discuss and review school’s financial status. Maintenance updates. Discuss rental of school lots.
  6. Discussion and vote to accept or reject milk bid for the 2010-2011 school year.
  7. Propose executive session to discuss rehiring a Title I ARRA teaching assistant/professional education consultant and the hiring of a bus driver for the 2010‑2011 school year.  Authorized by 25 O.S. Section 307 (B)(1).
  8. Vote to convene or not to convene into executive session.
  9. Vote to acknowledge board’s return to open session.
  10. Executive session minutes compliance announcement.
  11. Possible board action concerning the rehiring of a Title I ARRA teaching assistant/professional education consultant for the 2010-2011 school year.
  12. Possible board action concerning the hiring of a bus driver for the 2010-2011 school year.
  13. Vote to approve or disapprove certified staff and support staff payroll encumbrances for the 2010-2011 school year.
  14. Vote to approve or disapprove stipends to certified and support staff for coordinating duties and/or attending Gear Up staff development training.
  15. Vote to approve or disapprove new Activity Fund sub-account for the Class of 2024.
  16. Vote to approve or disapprove Activity Fund transfer of $67.35 from Class of 2010 to Class of 2024.
